Alright ladies, I don’t know about you, but my group chats have been swarming with conversation over spicy erotic books these days. Everything from hot office romances, to fairy sex, this genre seems to be quite popular amongst mom circles.
So what better way to get in the mood for Valentine's Day than picking up a good read while breastfeeding, waiting in the carpool line or cozy at night in bed?
I’m by no means a book connoisseur, admittedly just getting back into reading in the past month after several years, so I enlisted the help of some ambitious moms who know this topic well, and have amassed a following for their book recommendations: Becca Culotta of @bookedwithbecca and Kristyn Pittman of @librariankristyn. And to make sure we captured a little bit of spice for everyone’s taste, we’ve included a “Spice Rating” to guide you.
P.S. if you are planning a Galentine's Day I highly recommend structuring it as a book club featuring one of these spicy reads.

How do busy moms have time to read?
Before jumping in, the amount these two women read truly impressed me. So I had to know their secrets…
“We’re busy — we’re moms, after all! But that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t prioritize things that bring us joy, and for me, that’s reading. Sometimes it means waking a little before my kids or listening to an audiobook while I clean the house. Reading not only entertains me, but it also keeps my mind at work. And what better way to get some entertainment in than fun romance reads, some of which have a bit of spice, too?” says Becca.
Kristyn shared a similar sentiment, “Reading doesn’t have to be work! Sometimes putting down the self help and business books to pick up a romance novel can be the ultimate form of self care. Not only are they a fun indulgence, but a steamy read can be just what you need to inspire more romance IRL. The books on this list feature love in every form. Love at first sight, second chances, a slow burn, and friendships that turn into more.”
