Coterie vs. Hello Bello vs. Dyper vs. Honest

This post is in partnership with Coterie. I only endorse products I believe in.

Simplification is key to staying sane in parenthood, which is why I’m the biggest fan of subscriptions that take the guesswork and time commitment out of ensuring you’re always stocked on essentials, especially for your baby. There is nothing worse than realizing you are down to your last diaper at 9 PM, forcing you to run out to the store to restock. Am I right?

So in an effort to integrate convenience into my life, I decided to sign up for a diaper subscription. But which is the best? Well I grabbed a pack of Coterie, Hello Bello, Dyper and Honest to test them out. And here’s my in-depth research comparing the subscription services.

Ingredient Safety

🥇Coterie: Total Chlorine Free (TCF), latex free, fragrance free, lotion free, dye free, alcohol free, paraben free, phthalate free. They are the only brand to release a Diaper Safety Report.

Hello Bello: Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF), latex free, fragrance free, lotion free, paraben free, phthalate free.

Dyper: Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF), latex free, fragrance free, lotion free, paraben free, phthalate free, alcohol free.

Honest: Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF), latex free, fragrance free, paraben free, phthalate free.

*TCF, or Total Chlorine Free, means the diaper was bleached using a process that does not use chlorine or chlorine derivatives. Whereas ECF, or Elemental Chlorine Free, means the diaper materials were bleached with chlorine dioxide. If given the choice, I feel safer going with TCF to ensure chlorine bleaching was not part of the process.

Absorbency to Avoid Leaks & Blowouts

🥇Coterie: This diaper has a cushy thickness that absorbs liquid quickly, without being bulky. It felt incredibly dry within seconds.

Hello Bello: This diaper absorbs slowly, and feels wet to the touch.

Dyper: While this diaper absorbed quite quickly, these felt the wettest of all the options.

Honest: This diaper absorbs only slightly faster than Hello Bello, gets bulky when wet and feels damp.

Subscription Diapers Model & Customer Service

Cost

Coterie: A subscription of 6 packs of Size 1 diapers is $90 ($0.45/diaper)

🥇Hello Bello: A subscription of 7 packs of Size 1 diapers is $69.99 plus it includes 4 packs of wipes ($0.31/diaper)

Dyper: A subscription of 6 packs of Size 1 diapers is $89 ($0.41/diaper)

Honest: A subscription of 6 packs of Size 1 diapers is $74.04 ($0.35/diaper)

My Pick for the Best Subscription Diapers is Coterie.

Coterie came out on top for absorbency, ingredient safety and customer service benefits IMO. I absolutely love the text service reminders and self-service options instead of email to easily delay shipment, change size or ship sooner (see this full list of commands you can do right from your phone). Plus the availability of a real human to help with any issues or questions 24/7! It's no wonder Coterie won the Bump’s Best Diaper award for the 3rd time in 4 years!
